HTC announces Desire 620 budget smartphone

HTC also unveiled Desire 620G Dual SIM which will go on sale from December 1. However, the details for the devices' availability in other countries is still not known.

Both, Desire 620 and Desire 620G are powered with a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. The devices runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and features a 5-inch IPS display with HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution.

With 1GB of RAM, the smartphones is also packed with 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with BSI sensor. Both devices have an 8GB of inbuilt storage and are powered with 2100mAh removable battery.

The Desire 620 Dual-SIM is available in Milky-way, Grey and Santorini White colour variants and Desire 620G Dual-SIM will be available in Marble White and Grey colour variants.

Earlier in September, HTC launched Desire 820 and Desire 820q smartphones in India to boost its sales.

HTC unveiled the Desire 820 during the IFA trade show in Berlin. It features a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with integrated 4G LTE Cat. 4 connectivity.

The smartphone packs a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC (1.5GHz quad-core + 1.0GHz quad-core) coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) HTC Desire 820 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense UI skinned on top. The smartphone is the successor to HTC Desire 816.  It features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display.

The 16GB internal storage on the Desire 820 is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). Connectivity options on the handset include Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G and 4G LTE connectivity.

The Desire 820 packs a 13-megapixel (with f/2.2 lens) rear facing camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, apart from an 8-megapixel secondary front-facing camera.

The handset measures 157.7x78.74x7.74mm and weighs 155 grams. The HTC Desire 820 packs a 2600mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 22.4 hours (3G) of talk time and 424 hours (3G) of standby time.

HTC also announced the launch of Desire 820q with similar hardware specifications but is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor and has 1GB RAM. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
